Will Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Join Queen Elizabeth On Scotland Trip?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to have a very busy summer ahead.
According to People, the royal couple will most likely join Queen Elizabeth II when she travels to Scotland for a few days. The 92-year-old monarch will be vacationing in Scotland, and it is customary for family members to join her on her summer vacation. Her Majesty will return to London in October.
The publication noted that the upcoming trip to Scotland will be a first for the Duchess of Sussex. She will be expected to immerse herself in everything that the other royal family members typically do at the destination. Markle will get to enjoy picnics, barbecues, and even hunting.
However, this doesn’t mean that Markle would need to get her hands dirty. Brian Hoey said on “At Home With the Queen” that footmen are responsible for laying the tables and arranging the food during the royal family’s outings and picnics. After they prepare everything, the footmen keep their distance so that they can keep an eye on things while still being in close range if they are needed.
“The Queen pours the tea but that is the extent of her culinary efforts,” Hoey said.
In Hoey’s book, one of the footmen said that the Queen is quite strict when it comes to catching bats.
“She was very strict about them not being harmed. Of course, the next day they would all come back again and we would go through the same routine. I think she enjoyed it,” the footman said.
Meanwhile, summer has already begun for Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children. They first traveled to Mustique with Middleton’s parents. During a recent interview, Middleton said that she enjoys spending time with her family.
“Spending quality time together is such an important aspect of family life and for me, as a mother, it is the simple family moments like playing outside together that I cherish,” she said.
