Wisconsin Sex Offender Assaults 7-Year-Old Girl After Holding Her Down On Couch, Bites Her

A man in Dunn County, Wisconsin, was charged Monday (May 11) with sexual assault of a minor girl.

According to the criminal complaint, the incident came to light after the seven-year-old victim told her mother that she was sexually assaulted by Jesse Thoms. The girl also told her mother that the man bit her and that he threatened to not tell anyone about the assault.

Following this, the unidentified mother confronted the accused about the same. He denied the allegations and claimed that the girl had a bad dream. The mother then alerted the police about it following which he was taken into custody and charged with first degree sexual assault. The mother told the officers that the accused had held down the victim on the couch and assaulted her. He was being held in jail on a $10,000 cash bond and was scheduled to return to court on May 19.

Meanwhile, investigation revealed that the accused, from Menomonie, was a registered sex officer. Four years ago, he was convicted of child sexual assault in Dunn County. He was sentenced to seven months in jail and was on probation. Investigation into the current case was ongoing and the relationship between the victim and the accused was not known.

The incident comes days after a Washington man was charged with sexual abuse for hiding in a 12-year-old Oregon girl's bedroom for a month and sexually assaulting her multiple times. Zacharias Cavasos, who met the victim on social media in December, traveled to Oregon to meet her on Feb.10. He hid in her closet until he got caught by the girl’s grandfather 15 days later.

Cavasos, who was kicked out, managed to sneak back into the home. He hid beneath the bed until he was caught again on March 11. He was taken into custody and during interrogation, he confessed to hiding in the 12-year-old’s bedroom for a month and having sex with her multiple times He was charged with sexual abuse of a minor on May 6.

In another incident earlier this month, a Maine woman was charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy multiple times when he stayed with her.
