Bodypainting has its own world of fashion with a splendid mixture of art, fashion and sensuousness. This is an art in which the human body turns in to an artist's palette and the artist goes on with his astounding imagination.
Usually, the artist paints a completely naked human body, or sometimes covered with a very short bikini or a g-string. A great bodypainting work is measured by how skillfully the artist hides the private parts of the subject.
The World Bodypainting Festival is an annual festival. From 1998 to 2010 the Festival was held in Seeboden, Carinthia, Austria, near the Millstatter See, on the third week of July every year. This year's World Bodypainting Festival took place in Poertschach at lake Woerthersee in Austria's southern Carinthia province from July 1 to 3.
Here are some wonderful pictures from this year's bodypainting festival.
