Following the most recent edition of “Monday Night Raw,” it isn’t very difficult to predict which wrestlers will challenge Brock Lesnar at the 2018 Royal Rumble. Look for the WWE Universal Champion to put his title on the line against Braun Strowman and Kane in a triple threat match.

Strowman and Kane had a No.1 Contender’s match for the championship that ended in a double count-out. Lesnar will return to “Monday Night Raw” next week, where commissioner Kurt Angle could make the match official.

The feud between Strowman and Kane began at WWE TLC on Oct. 22. Kane turned on Strowman, who was his teammate in a match against Angle, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. The two superstars have attacked each other on multiple occasions since then, and Strowman put Kane through a table at the conclusion of the last episode of “Monday Night Raw.”

Kane hasn’t faced Lesnar in recent years, but Strowman has had multiple matches with the former UFC heavyweight champion in 2017. Strowman put Lesnar through the announcers’ table at SummerSlam during a fatal 4-way for the Universal Championship, though the match ended when Lesnar pinned Roman Reigns. Strowman got his one-on-one rematch for the belt a month later at WWE No Mercy, but Lesnar hit one F-5 and defeated him clean.

It’s hard to believe that WWE would have Strowman beat Lesnar at the Royal Rumble just a few months after he lost to the champion in a singles match. Kane’s days of holding world championships in WWE are over, and it seems to be fairly obvious that he’ll be pinned by Lesnar in the triple threat match.

Ever since Roman Reigns defeated The Undertaker in the main event of WrestleMania 33, WWE has been building toward a match between Reigns and Lesnar in the WrestleMania 34 main event.

Lesnar won the WWE Universal Championship from Goldberg at WrestleMania 33. He’s pinned Reigns, Strowman and Samoa Joe in title matches since then.

Lesnar defeated AJ Styles in a non-title match at Survivor Series in his last appearance on WWE TV. Goldberg is the only wrestler to pin Lesnar clean in the last four and a half years.

There had been speculation that Finn Balor would face Lesnar at the Royal Rumble, but WWE seemed to scrap those plans a few weeks ago.
