WWE Rumors: Daniel Bryan Takes Fastlane, Warming Up 'Battle Of Spears' At Wrestlemania 37

The stage for Wrestlemania 37 is practically set, but there are still some shows and the Fastlane pay-per-view to expect before the annual spectacle. Most are already resigned to the fact that it will be a “Battle of Spears” featuring current WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns and Hall of Famer Edge.

But before the main course, Daniel Bryan still has a score to settle with the Tribal Chief. Reigns defeated a battle-worn Bryan at WWE Elimination Chamber, and it comes as no surprise that the former champion wants a rematch – this time under saner conditions.

The obvious angle that the “Yes Man” is pitching here is that Reigns had an obvious advantage, having been fresher than him or whoever else won the Elimination Chamber match. Now, he is daring the Big Dog to a rematch at WWE Fastlane, a fitting appetizer before the Wrestlemania 37 showdown.

However, it could also be a seed to seal a match for Bryan himself. Obviously, without a storyline after WWE Fastlane, a looming showdown would be him going up against Jey Uso.

Both already figured in a match during the WWE SmackDown episode on Friday, with Bryan coming out with a win. It won’t be surprising if the Leader of the “Yes!” Movement diverts his attention to the former WWE tag team champion.

WWE Fastlane 2021 happens on March 21 at the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. So far, no matches have been officially announced, although the Reigns vs. Bryan tussle is likely one of them. What about Uso?

It would be best to keep an eye on the 35-year-old cousin of Reigns. He will have some capacity in that match, helping out the Tribal Chief pull the (dirty) win. Once the dust clears, Bryan may go after him in what could heat things up for a potential showdown heading toward Wrestlemania 37.

Aside from Uso getting involved, there is a chance that Edge could make another surprise appearance after the match and go after Reigns. He has been appearing as of late, mostly doing off-ring work. It should be an interesting couple of weeks moving forward as the WWE gears up for what is looming as another slambang Wrestlemania to the delight of WWE fans.
