‘You’ Season 3 Release Date: Netflix Teases Premiere And Birth Of Joe’s Baby

The Netflix psychological thriller series “You” Season 3 has finally gotten a release date almost two years after Season 2 of the series premiered.

The series centers around Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), a book-loving serial killer who engages in toxic and dangerous relationships with his female love interests. The first season took place in New York, while the second season has the backdrop of Los Angeles.

On Monday, Netflix shared a teaser of the upcoming season and revealed the series will return with new episodes on Oct. 15, along with a new addition to Joe and his new wife Love’s (​​Victoria Pedretti) family in Los Angeles.

At the end of Season 2, Love revealed she was pregnant with Joe’s baby just as he was ready to kill her. The two married and moved to the suburbs. In the new teaser, Joe is seen making a cake while wondering what he should name his baby boy.

“People these days will name their kids anything to get attention. And despite your mother’s background and your grandma’s determination to refer to you as Forty reincarnated, I know better,” Joe says.

“A boy is not what we expected, and I would be lying if I said the thought of ‘mini me’ was surely exciting and not without, uh, challenges. Let’s just say, I’m hoping you'll do as I say and not as I do. But for you, I can change. I’ll be a man you look up to, a man you will be proud to call Dad.”

Eventually, Joe manages to land on the perfect name for his baby boy.

“So what to call you? A name that’s strong but not intimidating, classic but not basic,” he says.

“Literary, of course, because you will grow up in a house full of books. Henry. Choosing your name is the first of a lifetime of decisions I’ll make to give you the best life possible to protect you, to shape who you will become.”

Along with the addition of the baby, there will also be a few new cast members joining the couple. Shalita Grant, Scott Speedman, Saffron Burrows, Dylan Arnold, Tati Gabrielle, Chris O’Shea, Travis Van Winkle, Michaela McManus, Christopher Sean, Shannon Chan-Kent, and Ben Menhl will appear in Season 3.
