‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Another Cane Secret Is Threatened With Exposure
He was already exposed for cheating on his wife and lying about it when a sexual harassment claim was made against him, actions which cost him his job, and nearly his family. But, Cane’s other big secret will also loom with the possibility of being the final straw for those who still believe in him on the Thursday, July 27 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
The incident which led to Cane (Daniel Goddard) being exposed for sleeping with Juliet (Laur Allen) was the release of footage from the hockey deal in L.A., which saw Billy (Jason Thompson) making bets with hockey players. The footage nearly cost Brash and Sassy the whole deal on the CBS soap, and in the end, Juliet was fired because of it. In retaliation, she sued for sexual harassment, and when she learned she was pregnant, Cane was forced to admit to their hooking up in Tokyo, which then cost him his job as well. However, the nearly botched hockey deal and the footage have not yet been traced back to him.

That may all be set to change however, after Cane gets an unexpected phone call from the cameraman who shot the footage for him, Jesse (Max Adler). He is now in Genoa City, and he wants money to keep quiet, and Cane will have no choice but to cooperate with him if he wants that secret to stay hidden.
“Hey Cane, it’s Jesse, your favorite cameraman,” Jesse says in a preview clip. “I need your help.”
Meanwhile, Cane is also facing criticism over his recent decisions, which have included going against Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and selling some secrets about Brash and Sassy to Jack (Peter Bergman). As Victoria continues expressing her upset over the situation, which has been made worse by her recent head injury, she will wind up running into Juliet at the hospital, and will learn that her former employee seems excited by some news regarding her pregnancy.
“Is Cane here?” Victoria asks.
“No, he’s not here. But I just saw our baby for the first time,” Juliet gushes.
The two women will also discuss the hockey deal issue, and will both admit that it seems that that was where everything went wrong for Brash and Sassy, and Juliet will admit she wishes that the problems there had never surfaced, because at the very least, she would still have a job, and wouldn’t be counting on the money she won when Victoria settled the suit.
Then, later, when Victoria meets up with Billy, both will also marvel how that particular issue was the one which changed everything for the company, and they will admit that at least it was the one thing they don’t have to blame Cane for. However, they may soon learn the truth if Cane can’t keep Jesse from exposing him.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
