'Young And The Restless' Spoilers: Can Cane Rescue His Marriage To Lily?
They have gone through a lot in their time together, but his most recent transgression with Victoria seemed to finally push Lily over the edge. Now, Cane will make one last attempt to try and save his marriage to Lily on the Thursday, April 4 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
Lily (Christel Khalil) has been away in jail after receiving a one year sentence for being responsible for the accident that ultimately killed Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and her unborn baby, but even that seemed as though it wouldn’t put her marriage to Cane (Daniel Goddard) off track. However, that all changed on the CBS soap as she did become a little more distant due to things being difficult and Cane acted out—by kissing Victoria (Amelia Heinle). After Billy (Jason Thompson) learned about it, he told Lily, and she has since served him with divorce papers.
However, Cane refuses to go down without a fight and wants to make his marriage work, especially since Lily’s time away is beginning to wind down. As a result, he will go the prison once again and demand to see her, and though she’s refused to let him do so before, she may now approve his visit.
“Cane works to make things right with Lily,” spoilers tease.
However, even if Lily is willing to see her husband, it doesn’t mean she’s as willing to work on their marriage as he is, because she is committed to having a fresh start after she gets out of prison. In addition, while he may have only kissed Victoria, this entire situation has brought back all of the painful memories of their past—including his affair with Juliet that gave him his son, Sam—and it may finally have become too much for Lily to handle.
Naturally, Cane will be devastated when he realizes his wife is truly planning on saying goodbye to him for good—but he may no longer have a choice in the matter now that she’s resolved to let things come to an end.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
