'Young And The Restless' Spoilers: Cane Is Forced To Take Drastic Action
He has recently had more added to his troubles by the cameraman who helped him attempt to set Billy up now blackmailing him. As the threat of his secret being exposed becomes more real, Cane will be driven to desperate measures on the Friday, July 28 episode of "The Young and the Restless."
After being forced to reveal his affair, fired from his job, and blackballed so that it has made it even more difficult for him to find new work, Cane (Daniel Goddard) really couldn't handle more problems. Unfortunately for him on the CBS soap, Jesse (Max Adler), the cameraman who shot the incriminating footage of Billy (Jason Thompson) making bets with hockey players, then turned up in Genoa City. He called Cane and warned him that if didn't want anyone learning he was the one behind the video, he would pay him $25,000 to keep quiet.

Cane promised he would do it, but now, after Jesse shows up at his house, he will realize the threat is even more imminent than he knew, and that he will need to move quickly.
"Can I help you?" Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) asks in a preview clip as she opens the door to the family home, and Cane sees Jesse standing there.
When Jesse warns him he has less than 24 hours to pay him off, Cane will realize he's in an even more desperate situation than he was before, one that's even worse than when he was trying to keep the truth about having slept with Juliet (Laur Allen) in Tokyo a secret. And knowing that this secret getting out could be the final straw that also destroys his marriage and family. Not just his career prospects, Cane may decide to take drastic measures to get the money to Jesse, even though they are also ones which affect his children.
Meanwhile, the problems within their family, and the ones that came from his being fired by Victoria (Amelia Heinle) when the truth came out about his affair with Juliet, a truth that forced her to settle the sexual harassment case against Brash and Sassy, are ones that his son, Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry), blames on his dad's former boss. Now, after realizing that Mattie was dating Victoria's son, Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu), Charlie has gotten more confrontational than ever when it comes to his rival.
Now, he will warn Reed to back off and stay away from his sister, making it clear that he should do so because of what happened between their parents, and if necessary, he won't hesitate to take action to keep him away from Mattie.
"Our whole family is falling apart because of your mom," he snarls in the clip. "If you care about Mattie, you leave her alone. "
"The Young and the Restless" airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
