'Young And The Restless' Spoilers: Will Mariah Be Forced To Turn On Sharon?
She’s one of the people who could be implicated in the coverup of JT’s murder, and now, with Sharon’s ability to avoid jail time for her own role in the crime on the line, Mariah will find herself placed in an impossible situation on the Tuesday, Feb. 19 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
After Sharon’s (Sharon Case) confession to Rey (Jordi Villasousa) on the CBS soap, she, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) were all hauled into the police station, while Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), who confessed to her role earlier but spared the others, was also asked for more information. Despite previously telling him everything, Sharon refused to say anything more to Rey, while Victoria and Nikki also refused to cooperate. However, interested in saving herself and still refusing to go down for the Newmans, Phyllis told Christine (Lauralee Bell) she would give her valuable information—but it would come at the price of her freedom and full immunity.
Now, considering what she already has, and the other things that have come to light since the murder, Phyllis is likely going to implicate Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) as well—which will force Mariah to potentially do something unthinkable.
“Mariah’s in an impossible position,” spoilers tease.
Likely, to cut a deal for herself, Phyllis will tell Christine that she has some of the evidence for the crime, like the fireplace poker, which she never did throw in the lake like she told the others, and she may bring to light the fact that the video of her, Sharon, Victoria and Nikki stuffing JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) body in the trunk of a car is also out there as well. By bringing Mariah’s name into it, Sharon’s daughter will be forced to come in for questioning as well, and she may have no choice but to reveal what she knows—setting her mother up for potential jail time in the process.
If Mariah is placed in that position, and what she shares with the police checks out, Phyllis will then be granted immunity, meaning she gets out of the situation without any legal consequences. However, Sharon, Victoria and Nikki, and potentially Mariah and others, later on, won’t be as lucky.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
