‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Will Phyllis Be Able To Stop Summer?
She knows what her daughter is trying to do and is aware she was trying to follow Billy to Philadelphia to seduce him. Now, Phyllis will confront Summer about her plotting to steal her boyfriend from her on the Friday, Aug. 24 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
Kyle (Michael Mealor) warned Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) that Summer (Hunter King) was heading to Philadelphia so she could try and seduce Billy (Jason Thompson) while her mother wasn’t around. Shortly after, Phyllis found Summer’s ticket to Philadelphia and has now opted to confront her daughter on the CBS soap.
Things won’t go well of course as the women begin to argue, because Summer will insist that her mother doesn’t deserve Billy and that he actually finds the younger woman attractive. Phyllis will try to make her daughter see that Billy was only saying things like that to her in an attempt to fend off her advances, but Summer will refuse to believe her.
Things will reach a breaking point however when Summer insists her mother is getting everything she deserves because of the things she’d done in the past. This will cause Phyllis to lash out at her daughter, smacking her hard across the face, and the two will officially be at a point of no return. Summer will then storm out, telling her mother she’ll make sure to go through with her plan now.
However, Phyllis won’t go down without a fight either and will use her daughter’s cocky behavior against her.
Post-fight, Summer will talk to Kyle about what happened when her mother confronted her, and he too will try to make her see that there is no point in her attempting to seduce Billy and that it will only continue to bring problems. However, Summer will then receive a text from him telling her to meet him on the yacht, and she will quickly run off.
What she doesn’t know, however, is that her mother will be the one behind the text, and she may have some sinister plans in store for her daughter.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
