Zoe Kravitz Talks About Her Ex-Husband Karl Glusman; Calls Split 'Sad But Beautiful'
Zoe Kravitz opened up about her ex-husband Karl Glusman and how heartbreak reflected on her new music. Kravitz, 32, discussed her upcoming untitled first solo music album and noted that it will reflect a "range of emotions" as it is about "love and loss."
She revealed details on the process of writing her album. In an interview with AnOther Magazine, the artist said, "I wrote it over a long stretch of time, subconsciously just capturing this range of emotions, which has been interesting to look back on and see what I was writing about them, then and now and in between." "It’s personal. It’s about love and loss," she added.
The actress also spoke about her "complex" relationships and family life.
"I got married. I got divorced. Separations, break-ups are sad but are beautiful things too," she explained. "It’s about the bittersweetness, that beginning and that end. It’s so complex, that space, when you’re in between heartbroken and mourning the loss of something and excited for what’s ahead of you," the actress said.
Kravtiz and Glusman were married for two years and they finalized their divorce in August.
In 2018, the former couple revealed they were engaged after dating for two years. They tied the knot in Paris 2019, with Hollywood A-listers Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman attending the ceremony.
Following their divorce, Kravitz is now dating actor Channing Tatum.
Tatum and Kravtiz began to date in August, according to multiple outlets. The duo was recently spotted at the 2021 Met Gala after-party event held on Sept. 13 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
On the work front, the new couple is working together on Kravitz's directorial debut, "Pussy Island." Kravitz also co-wrote the script.
The actress will also feature in a thriller movie, "Kimi," which is currently under pre-production. The movie is helmed by director Steven Soderbergh and it will also star Erika Christensen, Byron Bowers and Jaime Camil.
Tatum, on the other hand, will be next seen in a movie titled "Dog," which is slated to release on Feb. 18, 2022. He will also feature in the movie "Lost City of D," which is currently under post-production.
