#OneChicago is real, folks. Apart from having numerous crossovers between “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med,“Chicago P.D.” and more with the new spin-off “Chicago Justice,” all the shows’ creator Dick Wolf is ensuring that some characters move across the four series. The latest character to jump to another show within the franchise is “Chicago P.D.” cop Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda). He also happens to be “Chicago Fire” character Gabriela Dawson’s (Monica Raymund) brother.

Antonio Dawson will get a big promotion when he moves from “Chicago P.D.” to “Chicago Justice.” He will be a series regular on the new spin-off. Seda revealed to TVLine that he will be the lead investigator at the State Attorney’s office. What’s more, he will enjoy state-wide jurisdiction and will have a team of his own. Seda’s character hasn’t worked with anyone on a case since his partner got tragically killed in Season 1.

Antonia Dawson will make the move to “Justice” after appearing in eight episodes on “P.D.” In those eight episodes, we will learn why the handsome Chicago policeman is eager to accept his promotion. “Within those eight episodes, there will definitely be circumstances that come up that will lead to the eventual move-over,” Seda told TVGuide. “His family and his status as a single parent definitely factors in. … He has a real tough time dealing with his ex-wife and not being able to see his kids as much.”

“Justice” and “Fire” will also explore Antonio and his sister Gabriela’s family drama since something dramatic happens to the Dawson family.

However, Seda won’t be just showing up in “Chicago Fire” Season 5 because of his sister and his family drama. He will be romancing paramedic Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer). And his new romance will certainly affect his relationship with Gabby. “But it’s something that is definitely happening, and it’s going to be interesting to watch, especially having his sister see her brother in ways that she hasn’t seen him in a while.” Seda said.

“Chicago P.D.” airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC. “Chicago Fire” Season 5 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC. “Justice” premieres midseason.
