Alex Rodriguez is said to be focusing on his family and business amid reports of his ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, frolicking around town with Ben Affleck.
Page Six reported that Rodriguez had a business meeting with Minnesota Timberwolves executives Monday. The former professional baseball shortstop sported a pinstriped blue suit while talking with his new NBA co-owner Marc Lore at Forte restaurant in Coral Gables, Florida.
The same report revealed that Rodriguez went out for a coffee with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who was the former captain of A-Rod's Yale baseball team.
"It was coincidental. He had no idea there was a fundraiser," a source close to Rodriguez told the outlet. "They know each other from baseball. Alex stopped by for a coffee, and they talked baseball for about 15 minutes."
Last week, Rodriguez was spotted at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame ceremony in Springfield, Massachusetts. After attending the event that honored the late Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett, the new Timberwolves owner had dinner at TAO Restaurant in Connecticut with Lore.
The recent sighting of Rodriguez came amid reports that Lopez and Affleck were seen locking lips between sets at Anatomy Fitness in Miami. Though the pair walked into the gym separately, they did not try to hide their relationship.
"They went to do their workouts with separate trainers but were not trying to hide their relationship by any means," an informant told ET. "They stayed close to each other while working out and were hugging, being playful together, and shared a kiss in between sets. It was clear to everyone that they have intense chemistry and were having fun together."
The eyewitness further said Rodriguez's ex-fiancée and the "Justice League" actor appear to be in the "honeymoon phase."
Affleck was reportedly seen sporting a unique watch that Lopez gave him in 2002. Affleck donned the original watch while shooting the "Jenny from the Block" music video. It features a thin face and a thick silver chain.
Rodriguez and Lopez announced their split on April 15. The "Let's Get Loud" singer caught the attention of many after she was seen spending time with Affleck in Los Angeles on multiple occasions.
