‘The Amazing Race’ Season 29 Star Brooke Camhi Says Money ‘Comes Second’ To Experience
While winning $1 million is usually the reason most contestants participate on “The Amazing Race,” Season 29 hopeful Brooke Camhi isn’t focusing on the money.
In a pre-race interview with CBS, the New York-based attorney revealed that she’s been a superfan of the show for a long time, and being on the show in general is more important to her than winning the prize in the end.
“I have a list of things to do before I die... being on ‘The Amazing Race’ is actually one of them... For me, it’s the experience. The money comes second,” she said.

However, while money doesn’t seem to be her focus, she still is intrigued by the twist on the new season, which will see all of the individual racers pairing off at the starting line in a schoolyard pick. She also hopes that whoever she winds up with will be someone she can count on to work well with her.
“I think my biggest weakness would be having someone who has a very long thought process and debates both sides of everything before making a decision,” she said. “Because a big part of this game is making a decision and sticking with your decision and going along with what you decide.”
Despite being excited more for the experience though, Brooke still has a very good reason for why she needs to make it to the very end, even if she walks away without the $1 million when it’s all over.
“I was told that if I don’t win, I shouldn’t come home by the people who know,” she laughed. “Because they know how competitive I am and I won’t be happy with anything less than finishing the race.”
“The Amazing Race” Season 29 premieres Thursday, March 30 at 10 p.m. EDT on CBS.
