Angelina Jolie Still 'Angry' With Brad Pitt, Reportedly Moving To Africa Amid Divorce, Custody Battle
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have yet to finalize their divorce. The “Maleficent” actress filed papers to end their marriage on Sept. 19, 2016. Angelina cited irreconcilable differences and, then, requested sole physical custody of their six kids – Shiloh, 13, Maddox, 18, Knox, 11, Zahara, 14, Pax, 15, Vivienne, 11.
Three years since the divorce filing, Us Weekly reported that Angelina still has a lot of resentment towards Brad. A source told the entertainment publication that the “Salt” star wants her ex-lover to be held accountable for turning her and her children’s lives upside down.
Angelina Jolie, previously, revealed to Harper’s Bazaar that Brad Pitt prevented her from realizing one of her greatest dreams: to live abroad. However, Angelina said she cannot do it right now as she has to base where the “Troy” actor chooses to live. Despite this, the “Gia” actress revealed that she and her six children will break ground a new abode in Africa next year.
Though Angelina did not say that she will be living there for good, a source close to the actress told In Touch magazine that the entire family – sans Brad Pitt -- could stay there for a long time. “Her plan is for the house there to be their new home base,” the tipster claimed. “…She knows Brad can’t just pick up and move there as well. And if he doesn’t let the children go, well, it makes him look like the bad guy,” it went on.
The same informant said moving to Africa will also give Brad Pitt lesser chances of rebuilding his strained relationship with his children. This, according to the source, is Angelina Jolie’s way of manipulating the kids. However, it should be noted that permanently living to another place outside America could complicate things even more as it is against the law and may result in the "Wanted" actress losing custody of the kids.
Angelina Jolie has made it clear that she cannot just live abroad due to her ongoing custody battle with Brad Pitt. The “Original Sin” star even said that she won’t do it until all her kids reach 18. So, avid followers of Angelina should take these speculations with a grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
