Ben Affleck, Lindsay Shookus Relationship Timeline: When Did They Start Dating?

Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus have been spending more and more time together publicly after news of their relationship surfaced.

On Monday morning, the “Batman” star and the “Saturday Night Live” producer were spotted together on a coffee date. The pair grabbed drinks from Starbucks in Brentwood. The two reportedly spent the weekend together and were even seen on Thursday night at Giorgio Baldi, one of Affleck’s favorite spots, TMZ reported.

As for the timeline of Affleck and Shookus’ dating history, a source told Entertainment Tonight that the two have been seen together even when they were still married to their respective former spouses, Jennifer Garner and Kevin Miller. The couple had allegedly been secretly dating back in 2014, even before the controversial nanny scandal involving Affleck and Christine Ouzounian. The source added that the “Justice League” star’s fling with his children’s nanny was shortlived. “Whenever [Affleck] was on Fallon, he would go visit [Shookus] at ‘SNL,’” a source with knowledge of the affair said of the pair. “They were both married at the time, but there was definitely a flirtation.”

Another source told People that Affleck and Shookus met in 2013 when the “Argo” actor hosted “Saturday Night Live.” His last appearance on the show was in May of the same year. After a month, the pair was spotted flirting at “The Heat” premiere afterparty in New York, chatting and laughing together at the event. After a few hours, the pair left together, along with other friends, and headed to Mandarin Oriental Hotel bar. “He definitely looked interested in her,” one onlooker told the publication.

Affleck and Shookus’ relationship was confirmed last Friday, three months after he and Garner filed for divorce. A source confirmed to ET that prior to the emergence of their dating news, Affleck and Shookus have known each other for years following his 2013 appearance on “Saturday Night Live.” The pair’s relationship is reportedly still in its early stages, but they are very happy.

Meanwhile, a source close to Garner previously claimed that the “Miracles from Heaven” star was not happy about Affleck’s new lady love because Shookus had been in their life while they were still married. “It would have been easier for Jen if Ben would have just dated someone that Jen wasn’t familiar with,” the insider said.
