Is ‘Better Things’ Canceled Or Renewed For Season 4? FX Show Update
Better things are still to come for FX’s Pamela Adlon dramedy.
Season 3 of “Better Things” ends tonight with a finale episode full of “surprises,” per the show’s social media, but then viewers will have a whole new season to look forward to.
FX Networks and FX Studios chairman John Landgraf renewed the half-hour series for Season 4 back in March, which means Sam Fox (Adlon) isn’t going anywhere.
Landgraf said, according to The Hollywood Reporter, “With every season, ‘Better Things’ becomes more vital, engaging and revelatory, cementing Pamela Adlon’s status as one of the most accomplished creative forces in television today.
“Rarely has there been a show that is so personal and, at the same time, so thoroughly universal in the way it explores modern parenting, family and life. We are thrilled to extend the series for a fourth season and to continue this incredible partnership with Pamela, her creative team and the amazing cast of Better Things.”
Creator and star Adlon added, “I am humbled, grateful and excited to tackle another season of stories and continue my creative partnership with my fearless FX team.”
In Thursday’s Season 3 finale (episode 12), titled “Shake the Cocktail,” “Sam searches and takes a breath,” according to the short, official logline. Adlon both wrote and directed the Season 3 finale, which arrives on FX tonight at 10 p.m. EDT.
