‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers: Bill’s Plan Is Questioned

He lied to Thomas about Caroline’s well-being in an effort to make sure the two of them got back together, but now, Bill will start facing more criticism as his plan continues to unfold on the Wednesday, Aug. 9 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Bill (Don Diamont) told Thomas (Pierson Fode) that Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) was dying from a rare autoimmune disorder on the CBS soap, and as a result, shortly after arriving in Monaco for the Spencer Summit, Thomas flew back out to New York to spend quality time with her. Now, back in L.A., Bill is celebrating because he’s confident the plan has worked and Thomas will be dumping Sally (Courtney Hope), in favor of Caroline. However, he will be shocked when Justin (Aaron Spears) expresses that the plan is one that may be taking things too far, even for Bill.

“Man, you are something else. Telling Thomas that your niece is dying,” Justin says in a preview clip.

“Come on, Justin, we’re all dying! We’re all on the way out, so we might as well go out happy,” Bill replies.

However, when Justin continues expressing doubts, Bill will remain determined, because the plan also contains a benefit for him. If Thomas and Sally were to break up, then he would no longer work for Spectra and would withdraw his funding from the company as well. Without that money, Sally would be out of business, and the building would once again be available for Bill to buy, knock down, and replace with his planned new skyscraper.

However, he won’t account for the fact that Thomas told Sally his reasons for going to New York, so she now also believes Caroline is ill. When she gets a surprise visit from Liam (Scott Clifton), who wonders why she isn’t upset that Thomas is spending so much time with Caroline, she will then share the news with him—which could spell bad news for Bill.

“Let’s just be straight with each other,” Sally says in the clip. “We both know the real reason Thomas is in New York with Douglas and Caroline, and it is a lot more than just bonding time with his son,” she says.

However, Liam won’t know what she’s talking about, and initially thinking she told him a secret he wasn’t supposed to know, Sally will tell Liam that Caroline is dying.

Liam will be stunned by the news about his cousin, and will be shocked he wasn’t told. However, if he quickly manages to piece together the truth, he will be the person who could stand in his father’s way of getting his building. He’s always been opposed to unethical practices and lies to get ahead, and when he realizes just how far his father has gone this time, Liam absolutely will refuse to stand for it.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
