'Bold And The Beautiful' Spoilers: Liam Confronts Bill About Caroline News

He was stunned when Sally told him that his cousin was dying from an autoimmune disorder, but now, Liam may learn the truth about Caroline's alleged disease on the Thursday, Aug. 10 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful."

After the successful showcase in Monaco on the CBS soap, Liam (Scott Clifton) went to interview Sally (Courtney Hope) about Spectra's continued plans for success, and was shocked that Thomas (Pierson Fode) has no immediate plans to return from New York anytime soon. Assuming he knew why Thomas was in New York, Sally openly discussed that Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) was dying from an autoimmune disorder. Liam, who is Caroline's cousin, was shocked by the news.

Now, as he processes what Sally told him, she will reiterate that Thomas will eventually come back to her, but she knows that being in New York with his ex and his son is what's right for him at the moment.

"I know that right now, spending time with Douglas and Caroline is exactly where Thomas needs to be," she says in a preview clip.

However, still stunned by the news that his cousin is sick, Liam will quickly leave and head back to Spencer. There, he will decide that Bill (Don Diamont) also needs to know the truth, so they can all be there for Caroline during her time of need.

"Sally said that Caroline is dying," he says.

What Liam, as well as both Sally and Thomas, are unaware of however, is that Caroline is actually perfectly healthy and well, and isn't dying from a rare disorder. In fact, she's totally fine, even though she is going along with the lie for now. What will be most shocking to Liam however is that Bill is the one who created the fabrication.

Liam will be shocked that his father concocted such a scheme, especially since it involved getting Caroline back with Thomas, whom Bill hasn't ever cared much for anyway since he is Ridge's (Thorsten Kaye) son. However, as he learns that his father not only knew Caroline was supposedly sick, but that he was the one who started the rumor, he will also realize why it was started, as he remembers Bill's hopes to tear down the Spectra building and replace it with his planned skyscraper. Sure enough, Bill will confirm that he is trying to reunite Thomas and Caroline because doing so would mean that Sally and Spectra would be bankrupt, because Thomas would pull his funding and his designs from the company, leaving them broke and with nothing.

"If he's out of the picture, they're out of business," Bill gloats in the clip.

However, the lies won't sit well with Liam, and he will try to plan a way to stop it. But a threat from his father could halt him in his tracks, and make him realize just how dangerous he can be when he puts his mind to getting what he wants.
