‘Bones’ Season 12 Spoilers: Episode 2 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In ‘The Brain In The Bot’? [VIDEO]

“Bones” is back! The Season 12 premiere finally answered questions about Zack (Eric Millegan) and revealed the identity of The Puppeteer. Now, the Jeffersonian can get back to solving grisly murders every week.

In Season 12, episode 2, the team will have an interesting case in their hands. According to the synopsis (via SpoilerTV), the FBI discovers the body of man who created artificial intelligence. The promo reveals that the crime scene is teeming with evidence.

As the investigation progresses, Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) concludes that it isn’t possible for a human to inflict the kind of damage the murder victim suffered. Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and the team start to wonder whether the victim’s own robot could have been programmed to kill him.

In episode 2, titled “The Final Chapter: The Brain In The Bot,” Bones will celebrate her fortieth birthday. She plans a special surprise for everyone. Cam (Tamara Taylor) tries to get some details about Brennan’s mysterious birthday party by asking about the dress code. “Wearing clothes would be advisable,” is all she will reveal to the team.

Episode 4 of “Bones” will introduce Season 12’s main villain. TVLine reports that this big bad is someone from Booth’s past and he or she will be around for almost all of the remaining episodes in the Fox series. Worse still, Brennan will go through some emotional turmoil because of this villain.

“Bones” showrunner Michael Peterson clarified that Cam and Arastoo (Pej Vahdat) will tie the knot, but off-screen. He explained, “We’re focusing more on the reception than the wedding. We’ve had several weddings on the show and we don’t like repeating ourselves. So we did this one a bit differently.”
