Brad Pitt Wants Angelina Jolie's 'Girl, Interrupted' Co-Star To Testify In Custody Trial

Brad Pitt is planning to invite one of Angelina Jolie's "Girl, Interrupted" co-stars, Jillian Armenante, to take the stand in the upcoming custody trial.

Pitt's legal counsel has already submitted the list of witnesses for the exes' custody trial. The "Ad Astra" star's witnesses comprise a slew of therapists, psychologists and security consultants. Pitt plans to testify and have his lawyers cross-examine Jolie. He also wants Armenante to take the stand, Us Weekly reported.

It remains unknown why Pitt wants to involve Armenante. The actress had worked with Jolie in another movie in the past. Aside from "Girl, Interrupted" in 1999, the two actresses also starred in the 2007 movie "A Mighty Heart."

Armenante is known for her role on the legal drama TV show "Judging Amy." She also appeared on "Fresh Off the Boat," "Grey's Anatomy," "Hawthorne," "Desperate Housewives,” "Vice" and "The Mayor."

The news about Pitt's witnesses for the upcoming custody trial comes after it was revealed that Jolie insisted her ex to spend two weeks in quarantine following his romantic getaway to France with girlfriend Nicole Poturalski. During the trip, Pitt also took his new love to his and Jolie’s marital home, Chateau Miraval.

An insider said Jolie only wanted to ensure their kids' safety due to the COVID-19 cases in the country. However, Pitt didn't want to wait for two weeks before seeing their children and suggested to take two separate tests days apart. But the "Maleficent" star insisted on having the 14-day quarantine, and Pitt eventually gave in to his ex-wife’s demand. He already completed the quarantine period and has since visited his kids, according to the insider.

Meanwhile, things are starting to heat up between Jolie and Pitt again, according to sources. In fact, the exes are no longer attending their family therapy sessions.

"Brad wants 50/50 joint physical and legal custody of the kids. Angelina has been unagreeable to those terms," a source told Us Weekly.

"[She] will only agree to talk about an agreement if the home base for the children isn’t Los Angeles. The younger kids are in school in Los Angeles, which Angelina has always been opposed to. They are very smart and are eager to attend school in person [amid the COVID-19 pandemic].”

The custody trial is expected to take place from Oct. 5 to 23.
