Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk have been relatively quiet about sharing details surrounding their 2019 split. However, in a new interview, the model reflected on the new chapter in her life.

Cooper and Shayk first sparked dating rumors in 2015 when they were spotted getting cozy during a night out in NYC. Two years later, the pair welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper.

Despite the end of their relationship, Shayk and Cooper continue to co-parent their daughter. In the March issue of British Vogue, the model reflected on her past relationships.

“I think in all good relationships you bring your best and your worst—it’s just the nature of a human being. Two great people don’t have to make a good couple,” Shayk said.

Even though she and the Guardians of the Galaxy” star have split, the 34-year-old is grateful for her time with Cooper. “I think we’ve been very lucky to experience what we had with each other. Life without B is new ground,” she explained.

However, Shayk isn’t afraid of the unknown. The model revealed that her tough exterior has helped her focus on what’s important. “I have a strong personality, and I definitely know what I want, and I think some men are scared of that,” she revealed.

“If somebody’s out of my life, they’re out of my life, and I really cut all the ties, you know? I think some people are really scared of this coldness. I also think not many people know that underneath this there’s a nice, sweet person who cries in interviews.”

Although Shayk admitted it’s “hard to find a balance between being a single mom, and being a working woman,” the model has shown no signs of backing down from the challenge.
