  • Spears and Sam Asghari opted to keep their nuptials intimate
  • The "Toxic" singer did not invite her estranged family to her wedding

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are officially married.

The couple tied the knot at her home in Los Angeles Thursday. It was an intimate ceremony, and they were surrounded by their inner circle, according to Entertainment Tonight.

"Britney and Sam are officially married. Both of them are overjoyed," an unnamed insider told ET.

Multiple sources also confirmed to People that Spears and Asghari exchanged "I dos" on Thursday. The couple kept the event small and only had 60 guests in attendance. Their guests included Drew Barrymore, Madonna, Paris Hilton, Kathy Hilton, and Donatella Versace.

The "Toxic" singer reportedly wore a Versace wedding gown and walked down the aisle to Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love."

"I am very ecstatic this day has come, and they are married. I know he wanted this for so long. He is so caring and supportive every step of the way," Asghari's manager, Brandon Cohen, told People after the ceremony. "I am so grateful to have Sam in my life and can't wait for the future they will build together."

Ahead of the event, an insider said Spears, 40, had been envisioning her wedding day for nearly nine months.

"Britney started planning and dreaming about her wedding shortly after she got engaged in November," the insider said. "It's a huge deal to her that she is finally able to get married. She wants it to be perfect."

Another source also told ET she was "excited" for her big day. Asghari and Spears have been dating since 2016, and "they have felt like true partners for a long time and can't wait to officially be husband and wife."

Spears' sons from ex-husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, did not attend the event. Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, admitted they were "happy" for their mom.

"The boys are not going to be in attendance at the wedding," Kaplan, who oversees the former couple's custody case, told Page Six. "They think the focus of this day should be on Britney and Sam, and they are very happy for her moving forward."

The bride and groom didn't invite Spears' estranged family, including her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, and her sister Jamie Lynn.

Meanwhile, her ex-husband, Jason Alexander, attempted to crash her big day, TMZ reported. Alexander documented the break-in live on Instagram, but he got caught by the security. He was arrested and still in the custody of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.
