‘Captain America’ Star Chris Evans Gives Tom Brady A Pass For Supporting Donald Trump
Chris Evans is vocal when it comes to his disdain for President Donald Trump, while Tom Brady, on the other hand, openly supports the president of the United States. But despite their different stance on politics, the “Captain America” star has no hard feelings for the football star.
If there is one Trump supporter that Evans will not argue with, it would have to be the quarterback of the New England Patriots. “Well, I tell you what. If anyone gets a pass it’s Tom Brady,” the “Avengers” star told USA Today. “I’m just going out of my way to give Tom Brady a pass. He gave me five rings. What am I supposed to do? He gets a pass.”
Evans is obviously a huge fan of Brady. In a separate interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live, the “Gifted” star was asked to choose between Patriots and Brady. Evans answered that it was a tough question, but he chose the quarterback because for him, he is a “special man.”

Evans admitted that he attended the Superbowl LI afterparty back in February, but he didn’t meet Brady there. The “Snowpiercer” actor added that he was also unsure whether or not he wanted to meet the football superstar in person because he holds Brady in high regard and wants to continue thinking this way about the player. “I just want to let him be the thing I imagine he is, and that’s it. That’s good enough for me,” Evans explained.
Unlike Brady, Evans supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. When it was announced that Trump won the presidency, the actor turned to Twitter to express his disappointment over the results. “This is an embarrassing night for America. We've let a hatemonger lead our great nation. We've let a bully set our course. I'm devastated,” he wrote.
