‘Caribbean Summer’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
Hallmark Channel’s lineup of new movies for Summer is about to begin, with the newest premiere of the Summer nights 2022 lineup, “Caribbean Summer.” The film, which stars Heather Hemmens and Se’Darius Blain, debuts Saturday night.
Fans will likely recognize Hemmens, as she has starred in Hallmark films before, including the Hallmark Channel film “Love, Take Two” and the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries film “Christmas in My Heart.” However, she may also be recognized for roles on other TV projects not associated with Hallmark, such as “Roswell, New Mexico,” “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!” and “If Loving You Is Wrong.”
Blain, however, is new to Hallmark, though he might be recognizable from other roles, such as Galvin Burdette on “Charmed,” Reggie Sadler on “The Big Leap,” Fridge in “Jumanji: The Next Level” and Ulysses in “Fortress.”
So what will happen in the movie? Let’s find out.
“Jade (Hemmens), a morning news producer, is forced to take a vacation after an embarrassing gaffe during a live broadcast,” a synopsis reads. “She arrives to a relaxing Caribbean island, but Jade’s trip gets off to a rocky start thanks to a snafu involving the house she rented for her stay. Serendipitously, Jade manages to turn things around and begins a romantic Caribbean adventure with the legitimate owner of the house, a mysterious man named Ford (Blain).”
However, as things continue to grow, Jade learns the truth about Ford and has to decide if she should follow her heart or desire to get back into the thick of her career.
“As Jade slowly lets her guard down and welcomes all that the island, its people, and her handsome host have to offer, her heart and job come into direct conflict when she finds out the true backstory of the man she’s falling for—and it’s a career-defining scoop,” the synopsis continues. “Will Jade use this new information to get ahead in her career, or will she follow her heart and help Ford clear his name once and for all so they can start a new chapter together?”
“Caribbean Summer” airs Saturday, June 11 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
