Chris Brown Files Paternity Papers For Daughter, Royalty, As Nia Guzman Feud Continues: Report
If Chris Brown is going to pay thousands a month for his daughter, Royalty, he wants to make sure the child is actually his, TMZ reported Wednesday. The “Loyal” singer has been feuding with the baby’s mother, Nia Guzman, because he thinks she is demanding way too much money a month for Royalty.
Guzman reportedly wants Brown, 26, to pay her $15,000 a month in child support. The singer, however, says $2,500 a month is as much as he's willing to pay to support the 12-month-old baby. So he filed paternity documents in Houston to establish whether he’s the true father. Not only will a child support amount be determined, but he’ll also have a chance to get custody guidelines. It seems to be more about determining parameters than questioning if he's truly the father.
Guzman wants Brown’s money, but she hasn’t allowed him to see Royalty, TMZ wrote. The singer supposedly thinks a judge will rule in his favor -- that the child support will be lower than $15,000 and he’ll be given visitation rights.
News that Brown fathered a love child while he was still with Karrueche Tran exploded in March. It was Tran who confirmed the rumor. In the same tweet, she also broke up with Brown. “Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me,” she wrote at the time. She also added a baby face emoji.
For months Brown tried to win Tran back, but the aspiring actress deflected his attempts. Now, rumors have circulated the he rekindled his romance with Grammy winner Rihanna. She reportedly wished him good luck backstage before he performed Sunday at the 2015 BET Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Both Tran and Rihanna supposedly kept their distance from Brown on the red carpet to avoid a potentially awkward run-in.
"Right now they're just cute buddies, but those two have real feelings for each other,” an insider told Media Take Out about Breezy and RiRi. “It's only a matter of time before they get serious.”
