Chris Brown-Nia Guzman Feud Update: ‘Loyal’ Singer Tired Of Royalty’s Mother’s Demands, Won’t Move Them To LA
Chris Brown, who wanted to move Nia Guzman and their daughter Royalty to Los Angeles, changed his decision as he is tired of the 31-year-old’s endless demands, a source told Hollywood Life. Brown and Guzman are feuding over the custody of their 1-year-old daughter.
The “Loyal” singer had planned to move them to Los Angeles so that he could spend more time with Royalty. However, Brown now has a problem with Guzman moving in with her daughter, after their feud over child support for Royalty turned ugly.
“At one time Chris was really into moving Nia out here so he could be closer to Royalty. Now, that’s not his priority,” the source told Hollywood Life. “He doesn’t want to see Nia on a daily basis like that. The only reason he ever wanted to bring her here was so that he could see Royalty as often as possible.”
Brown had reportedly stopped paying $10,000 a month in child support to Guzman after the singer was denied visitation with his daughter this week. The feud between the two heated up after Guzman demanded $4,000 a week in child support for Royalty. She had initially demanded $15,000 a month in child support, but Brown reportedly wanted to pay only $2,500 a month.
An Instagram war also erupted between Brown and Guzman’s mother after the latter slammed Royalty’s father.
“She needs security even when she is with Nia,” Guzman’s mother wrote on a photo of Royalty shared by the model earlier this month, adding that the child “needs to go to a private school and she needs to live in a gated community for his own daughter’s safety!…period!”
Soon after, Brown posted a message on the photo: “Obviously you aren’t looking out for my daughter by putting personal issues up on Instagram.
“I’m not going to be disrespectful and rude about this becuz I know and they know I provide and take care of my daughter equally. I work and have a job and so will the mother,” he wrote in the now-deleted post, according to Hollywood Life.
Guzman reportedly urged her mother and Brown to stop blasting each other on social media. She reportedly asked both of them to stop their “shameful” behavior before telling Brown to “stop the madness” over Royalty. Earlier this month, Brown filed paternity papers for the custody of his daughter.
In March, the news broke that Brown had fathered a love child with Guzman while he was still with Karrueche Tran. The 27-year-old model split with him after confirming the rumors. Brown made several efforts to win back Tran, but later gave up hopes of reconciliation after constant rejections.
