Is The ‘Counting On’ After Show The Season 2 Finale? Duggar Show’s Future Explained
The “Counting On” cast will gather to share their thoughts on the past two seasons on Tuesday night’s installment, making some viewers question if this is the last we’ll see of the Duggars in awhile.
TLC’s synopsis for “Counting On: The After Show” reveals Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s oldest will discuss “highlights from Season 2” at a family gathering. The episode is also teased to feature a “surprise guest,” a special addition which was highlighted in the episode’s promo. While fans will see Jessa Seewald discuss her pregnancy (and possible twins!), Jinger Duggar talk about her engagement, it doesn’t appear it’s the end of “Counting On” just yet.
The Duggar Family Blog, which is run by family friends of the Arkansas brood, cleared up rumors about Tuesday’s episode being the finale. “Will this be the season finale? Nope!” the blog posted Monday. “The network still has more footage to share.”
While the blog didn’t divulge when and what type of footage viewers will be seeing from the family in the future, they did tease that readers should “stay tuned for more info.”
Of course, it would only be fitting for TLC to air more episodes of “Counting On.” Last viewers saw Jinger she just accepted Jeremy Vuolo’s marriage proposal. Rumors indicate the couple could be saying their “I Dos” soon, so it’s only fitting cameras were present to capture their nuptials. Elsewhere in the Duggar brood, Jessa is preparing to soon welcome her second child of an untermined gender with her husband Ben in February.
“Counting On: The After Show” airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC. Watch a full sneak peek of the episode here.
