Comedian Dane Cook has revealed he and his fiancée, Kelsi Taylor, are quite comfortable when it comes to laughing about the massive 27-year of age gap between them.

In fact, the comedian joked about their age gap during his new comedy special, "Dane Cook: Above It All," which first premiered Tuesday at TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

"We have a bit of an age difference, so it's in the show, it's in the show," Cook told E! News on Wednesday. "If we can't laugh at it, then nobody else is allowed."

The 50-year-old comedian also revealed before making the jokes public, he did discuss them with Taylor, 23.

"She saw everything that I was working on for the show," he said. "And she was like, 'Keep that in. I think that part will be great.' There's even some fun at our own expense."

Cook recalled how he was "just trying some material out on her" and asked how it would be to joke about "what it's like to be married." The comedian said Taylor "approve of that" joke, saying "that's a good one."

The comedian further shared how his comedy has changed over the period of time.

"I think it'll change it in the way that I would always hope growing up with a generation of comedy fans. I was a college kid talking to you know, college-age students," he added. " And to grow up with a generation of comedy fans. Their kids are now coming to my show."

He concluded, "I'm family oriented and to be looking at that with Kelsey and our future and family. It's like, all feels like the right timing."

Cook and Taylor got engaged in July after dating for five years. He also shared a video on his Instagram in August that featured many videos and photos of them being together and the day of the proposal.

"I was so ready to ask her. I was completely zen about it," the comedian told People in August. "The evening of the proposal was incredibly beautiful, the weather was perfect, sunset was spectacular, and I was just quite simply very happy."
