David Foster’s Daughters Erin, Sarah ‘Are Really Happy’ With Katharine McPhee
David Foster’s two daughters, Erin and Sarah Foster, are really happy that their dad is dating Katharine McPhee.
While speaking with E! News, the siblings also said that their glad their dad is happy. “We love Katharine McPhee. We love our dad. We want our dad to be happy. We don’t care who he dates… don’t really care how old they are. We don’t know if it’s her,” they said.
Erin added that her dad is so “young at heart” that some of her and her sister’s friends are trying to date the music producer. “Honestly, our friends in their twenties are trying to date him, so we’re just proud of him for not doing that. He’s like, ‘I draw the line there.’ I think thirties, forties is like a respectable age for a man in his sixties,” she said.
Until today, Foster and McPhee have not yet directly confirmed if they are dating. However, they have been spotted attending multiple events together. The “Scorpion” star spoke with Health magazine and said that she and Foster are very close.
“We’re very close friends, and we’ve been friends for a long time. I’m really, really fond of him, and I think he’s an incredible person. I’ve known him since I was 21 years old, you know? He produced my first single. So he’s been really good to me. People can say whatever they want,” she said.
McPhee previously dated her CBS co-star, Elyes Gabel, but the two decided to call it quits last year. During the same interview, McPhee said that she’s “pretty single,” and has not been with anyone seriously since splitting from Gabel.
The “American Idol” contestant was previously married to Nick Cokas, 52.
Foster, on the other hand, just finalized his divorce from Yolanda Hadid last month, according to E! News. The estranged couple was married for four years before Hadid filed for divorce in November 2015.
They released a statement at that time, saying, “Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways. We’ve shared nine beautiful and joyous years together and during that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues,” they said.
