He has been trying to figure out what his father has been up to now that he is back in Salem and alive, but unbeknownst to him, Chad will be dispatched to start doing Stefano’s dirty work on the Thursday, March 5 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Since realizing that his father was walking around in Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) body, Chad (Billy Flynn) has been waiting to find out what his father wanted him to do as he tries to find a way to get DiMera back from Gabi (Camila Banus). Though she has since been fired from the company after her arrest, Chad still has been given no direction. That will all change now, however, following an unexpected change in his own mindset.

“Chad falls under Stefano’s spell,” spoilers reveal.

What Chad doesn’t know is that his father has been working on his plan, and that he has decided his son will be a perfect pawn in it. Stefano has been drugging Chad’s drinks with something for a short while now, and it appear whatever he’s been slipping to him will start to take effect—and Chad will officially become a different person—one who could be a huge danger.

Stefano will likely have his son set to do some really terrible things since he is known for using any ruthless measures he can to get his way. Since he has already had Rolf (William Utay) help him with implanting his essence in Steve’s body and Princess Gina’s in Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso), and has also started working to force Marlena (Deidre Hall) to be with him by kidnapping Kayla (Mary Beth Evans0). The last thing he would need to do is eliminate loose ends and threats—like Gabi and Kate (Lauren Koslow).

As a result, Chad could start to become someone with murder on the mind—and there may be no way to help him get back if his father’s spell is powerful enough.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
