Donald Trump was slammed for responding to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s security concerns amid the coronavirus outbreak.

A few days back, a source revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are already in the U.S. Following that, an insider said that the royal couple asked for Trump’s approval to enjoy diplomatic protection. The POTUS usually offers that to royals when they make official visits to America. However, Prince Harry and Markle are no longer royals and they don’t represent the Queen anymore, so the decision depends on the POTUS’ discretion.

Trump took to Twitter to announce that Prince Harry and Markle “must pay” for their security. Several praised the POTUS’ decision, but many also found it “irrelevant” especially since everyone is focused on battling coronavirus.

“This is literally irrelevant,” @eugenegu commented on Trump’s post.

“Everything he says is irrelevant and usually a lie,” another user added.

“No one disagrees with this. Go do your job,” @JoyceWhiteVance wrote supporting Trump’s decision and reminding the POTUS to focus on more important matters.

“Once a jerk always a jerk. Glad to see you've got a lot of extra time on your hands for dealing with this critical issue. You being distracted saves lives. period,” Joe Lockhart, former White House Press Secretary, opined.

“I am embarrassed to admit that I didn't think that Trump was *this* unhinged. While the country is in the midst an unprecedented crisis, he is tweeting about Royal Family gossip,” @JRehling commented and added, “Someone please put a grownup in charge.”

In related news, many no longer want to see Trump’s briefings about coronavirus especially after the POTUS accused the doctors and nurses of lying about the medical supplies. Trump’s critics were calling the others to boycott his conferences and even used the hashtag “#BoycottTrumpPressConferences.”

A different user reacted and defended the POTUS from those calling CNN and MSNBC to stop airing the president’s briefings. According to Leila Wills, the media should cover issues of public interest including Trump’s conferences, otherwise, it would be censorship.
