‘DWTS’ Predictions: Which Season 30 Pair Will Be Eliminated After Disney Nights?
The first unexpected elimination of “Dancing With the Stars” Season 30 has already come and gone, with Christine Chiu and Pasha Pashkov leaving the competition despite praise from the judges. Now, with a double dose of Disney Night magic facing the remaining competitors, someone else could find themselves leaving the competition.
Week four of the competition will see the remaining 13 teams tackling two routines for the first time, for a special two nights of competition on the ABC series to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World. Teams will perform both a Disney “Heroes” and “Villains” routine over two nights of competition, and while a little fairy dust from Tinkerbell has worked to keep teams from being eliminated in the past, someone could still go home before the two nights of dancing are over.
While stars like Olivia Jade and Val Chmerkovskiy, Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten and Jojo Siwa and Jenna Johnson, who had the top scores of the night in Week 3 are likely to be safe, four other teams could see the Disney magic not work in their favor.
While scores for week 4 and viewer votes still need to be factored in prior to the next elimination and could change things, there are definite signs that one of these pairs may be rumbaing for the last time.
After both were diagnosed with COVID-19 and forced to compete remotely in their individual homes, Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke found themselves unexpectedly at the bottom of the judges’ leaderboard at the end of Britney night, only earning 18 points for their Jazz routine. However, with the pair expected to return to the ballroom for their Jive and Viennese Waltz after being cleared by doctors, it’s unlikely they’ll remain in that position, meaning they should be safe to continue dancing another week.
When it comes to scores, two other teams have yet to really wow the judges, making some slight improvements, but otherwise failing to catch up to the remaining competitors. Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess, as adorable as they are, aren’t really giving the judges what they need in terms of technique, and while they may have a strong fanbase rooting for them, they may find themselves in the Bottom Two sooner than expected. However, following their upcoming Waltz and Paso Doble, they should still be safe.
Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach could also be at risk. While he did improve so far and the judges have noted the work he has put in, Iman is still lagging behind the rest of the pack. If his Foxtrot and Argentine Tango both fail to give him a breakout performance, he could be the one to go.
However, if a Disney week elimination does occur, the team that could be most at risk could be as shocking as Christine and Pasha. #TeamBling was eliminated when they landed in the Bottom Two for the second week in a row, but the other team that was with them wasn’t one who was scoring lower than them on average. On the contrary, Kenya Moore and Brandon Armstrong have also received praise from the judges throughout the competition, but if she doesn’t have fans voting for her and she winds up in that position again, depending on who else winds up there with her, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star could be hanging up her dance shoes after her Contemporary and Viennese Waltz Routines.
“Dancing With the Stars” will air on Monday, Oct. 11 and Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
