Emma Stone and her husband Dave McCary's relationship has only grown stronger after they welcomed their baby girl last month, a report says.
Stone and McCary welcomed their first child less than a year after they tied the knot in September 2020, Entertainment Tonight reported in March. There was no exact date as to when their child was born because the couple made sure the details remained private.
A new insider told Us Weekly their little bundle of joy has brought Stone and her husband closer together. The first-time parents reportedly bonded over the care of their daughter.
"Having a baby has brought them closer in a way they never expected," the unnamed source told the outlet, adding that the "Saturday Night Live" segment director is "hands-on and helping with their daughter."
The "La La Land" star has been "very low-key and has asked people to just respect their privacy during this time." "Emma has been at home with her husband and the baby," the source continued.
Stone has been keeping a low profile since her pregnancy. However, she was photographed multiple times in the months leading up to her due date. In February, the "Zombieland" star was spotted running errands in Los Angeles.
She was reportedly keeping herself busy throughout her pregnancy. It was reported in January that she was expecting her first child, around the same time she was spotted sporting a baby bump while out and about.
"It's been so nice for them to be home and have this time together before the baby. They're going to be the best parents; they are both great with kids and they make such a great team," an unnamed source told ET at the time.
Several sources said earlier this year that the new mom was "excited" and "ecstatic" when she learned that she had a bun in the oven. She also maintained an active lifestyle and exercised daily.
Stone hinted at her plans to start a family with McCary in her 2018 interview with Elle. She admitted that her thoughts about having kids had changed as she grew older.
"I never babysat or anything. As a teenager, I was like, I'm never getting married, I'm never having kids. And then I got older and I was like, I really want to get married, I really want to have kids," she shared.
Stone secretly tied the knot with McCary after their planned March 2020 wedding was moved due to the pandemic. Their secret wedding was reported by Page Six in September, but the outlet did not share details about the event.
