‘Empire’ Season 3 Spoilers: Bryshere Gray and Serayah McNeill Tease Hakeem And Tiana Romance

Although their characters have been keeping their distance since their breakup, Bryshere Gray and Serayah McNeill teased that Hakeem and Tiana maybe getting back together when “Empire” Season 3 returns.

During an interview published by Hollywood Life Tuesday, the cast members of the Fox series revealed what fans can expect from their relationship in the upcoming season and even spilled spoilers about a possible romance.

Last viewers saw of Hakeem and Tiana, the exes came together in order to get revenge against Nessa (Sierra McClain), who led Hakeem on and sabotaged one of Tiana’s performances so she could take her place.

However, when “Empire” returns, it looks like all the revenge plotting has brought Tiana and Hakeem closer.

McNeill revealed that the two will explore their feelings for each other. “I think it’s going to be foreshadowed and I definitely think we’re going to see moments of that, especially with performance moments and things like that. When they’re teaming up and doing performances and things like that,” the actress explained.

The 21-year-old said that Tiana will be trying to fit into Hakeem’s world now that she has no chance of being the number one lady in his life since the birth of his daughter.

“He has a kid now! That’s big for her because she’s so goal-driven and that was her thing. At first, she started off with Hakeem being like, ‘Oh, he’s a good look.’ But I think she really started to like him hence why she keeps getting back with him for some reason,” McNeill said.

The actress hinted that Tiana still has deep feelings for Hakeem. “There’s a little soft spot there for him. She’s definitely trying to figure how she’s going to exist in his world now,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Gray teased that Hakeem is looking to be with Tiana “for life.” However, the actor explained that whether the couple gets back together is entirely up to Tiana. “It’s up to her, really. If she wants him. If she wants to deal with what he put her through,” he said.

Only time will tell if Tiana can forget the past and start building a future with Hakeem.

“Empire” Season 3 returns on Wednesday at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
