After rumors suggested there were some concerns about “The Flash” movie, cast member Ezra Miller confirmed in a recent interview that the movie is going ahead as planned. The film has been announced, but so far there have been no details about the production or the release date.

In a recent interview with W Korea, when Miller was asked about the solo movie of his superhero character, he said that it was “absolutely confirmed.” The actor also confirmed that he will be reprising his role in the film, which should put to rest any speculation about the character being recast.

There were some concerns about the future of the film after a story by The Hollywood Reporter about how Miller was writing a script. The actor reportedly took the step after creative differences with the version of the script by Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.

The problem with the script that Miller had was that it was lighthearted. Warner Bros. reportedly prefer a humors take after seeing the success of “Aquaman” and “Shazam” that went on to become big box office hits. Miller, however, wanted “The Flash” to be a little darker.

Warner Bros. did not use Miller’s script, and instead hired Christina Hodson to work on it. Andy Muschietti will be directing the film. The actor’s comments suggests that the project is now on track with him reprising the role.

Miller also talked about “Fantastic Beasts” in the interview, which means he may start filming the superhero movie after he is done with his work as Credence.

Based on Miller’s words, it appears that the production of “The Flash” will begin sometime in late 2020 or early 2021, Screen Rant reported. That means that the film will be released in 2022. More details may be released when the start of production is announced.
