‘The Flash’ Season 4 Spoilers: Danielle Panabaker Teases Killer Frost’s Return
Killer Frost will be making a huge comeback in Season 4, episode 5 of CW’s “The Flash.”
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, series star Danielle Panabaker revealed that Killer Frost will take over Caitlin once again during Iris’ (Candice Patton) bachelorette party. “When Killer Frost shows up, Iris has a lot of compassion for Killer Frost and a lot of compassion for Caitlin and is pivotal in helping Caitlin reconcile herself with her past and some of the mistakes that Killer Frost made,” Panabaker teased.
The news outlet reported that the connection between Killer Frost and Amunet Black (Katee Sackhoff) will be explored in-depth during the episode, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Amunet turned out to be the catalyst that triggers Killer Frost to resurface.
As revealed in the Season 4 premiere, Amunet was Caitlin’s boss at the bar. But as previously reported, Amunet, aka Blacksmith, is more than a bar owner. She is a “steely” and “badass boss” of an underground black market for supervillains. She uses every means possible, including a long list of metahumans under her control, to make sure that her forbidden venture flourishes. Since Caitlin quit working at the bar against Amunet’s wishes at the end of the season premiere, it makes sense that Amunet gets back to her to end their unfinished business.
“Caitlin is struggling and attempting to separate herself from Amunet,” Panabaker told Entertainment Weekly earlier this month. “Obviously Killer Frost is an incredible tool and an incredible ally to have. She’s very powerful, so I don’t think Amunet wants to let her go.”
“The six months between the end of Season 3 and the beginning of Season 4, for Caitlin, are not completely addressed from the beginning,” Panabaker added. “[But] we’re going to start [to see that]. It’s going to be hopefully a slow burn as we start to see a little bit more about what Caitlin was up to and her struggle over those last six months, and then unfortunately, as tends to happen, things that we try to keep secret find a way of bubbling to the surface, and sometimes in inopportune moments.”
Season 4, episode 5 also features Barry’s (Grant Gustin) bachelor party. But like the girls’ revelry, the guys’ bash is also interrupted when Cisco’s (Carlos Valdes) best-laid plans go awry.
“The Flash” Season 4, episode 5, titled “Girls Night Out,” airs Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
