Friendship Goals: Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens Reunite 'Safely'

Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens came together for the first time in months and posed for a photo "safely" in the age of COVID-19.

Tisdale took to Instagram on Wednesday to post a photo of her with "High School Musical" co-star and longtime friend Hudgens.

The pregnant actress and Hudgens are seen hugging and smiling under their masks in the new photo. "It's taken 9 months but safely we got a picture before my girl left again. Love you @vanessahudgens," Tisdale captioned the photo.

Pouring some love, Hudgens commented, "I LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUUUCCCCH."

Their fans were also happy to see them together. "Your friendship is so cute," one Instagram user commented.

Another referred to their "High School Musical" characters Sharpay [Tisdale] and Gabriella [Hudgens] and wrote: "Sharpay and Gabriella for life."

"I am glad they are still friends," someone else comments, while another said, "I love this friendship very muc[h]."

Their friendship began even before Disney Channel's "High School Musical" premiered in 2006. It was revealed in July 2020 when Hudgens celebrated Tisdale's 35th birthday by posting a series of their photos together on Instagram. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY OG BESTIE @ashleytisdale ash and I started from the bottom now we here!!! Lol but for real tho. We met on a commercial audition and our friendship took off," she captioned the photos.

"Next to high school musical, to touring the world, to shopping ALOT, to basketball games and a lot of rose. Now in our adulthood we busy helping each other decorate and renovate our houses. Lol so happy I have your fun loving spirit by my side in all walks of life. I love u ash. Always n forever. happy birthday bby," she concluded the post.

Apart from work, the two also go on fun trips together. In an interview with Forbes, Tisdale talked about the time she traveled with her girl pals, including Hudgens.

Sharing some of the highlights of traveling in her 20s, Tisdale said, "I’ve gone to Europe, Italy and went on my honeymoon to Bora Bora, which was amazing. But I have to say one of my favorite trips ever was Cabo. I love this one specific hotel there. I took my girlfriend, Vanessa, and Shelly for a girl’s trip."

It was one of those moments in time where she had broken up with her boyfriend and was having a "really rough time. It was just so needed just to be able to go away with your girlfriends. We did everything you probably would do with a guy, but like just did with the girls. We went swimming with dolphins, had dinner night on the beach, and did a movie night."

Looking forward, Tisdale is expecting her first child with husband Christopher French.
