It will be a day of trickery and consolation for the residents of Port Charles as they take extreme measures to control their unpredictable situations. On the Friday, July 20 episode of “General Hospital,” Nelle will begin to plan the end of her marriage as Jason becomes overwhelmed.

In the promo for the ABC soap opera, Chase (Josh Swickard) tells Michael (Chad Duell) if Nelle (Chloe Lanier) figures out they are trying to trap her, she will only become more dangerous. Michael previously told Sonny (Maurice Benard) his plan was to manipulate his wife into asking Chase to kill him and fake his own death.

“General Hospital” spoilers reveal Nelle looks to Chase for help. In the ABC promo video, Nelle questions how to get away with murder, which makes it appear as if Michael and Chase’s plan is going off without a hitch.

After hearing Chase declare his love for her on several occasions, Nelle believes she can trust the officer. But could their plan be going too well? The goal is to trick Nelle into asking Chase to murder Michael, but if Chase tells Nelle how to get away with murder, she may just take matters into her own hands and cut out the middleman.

Elsewhere in the ABC preview, Jason (Steve Burton) asks Sonny if he is looking to take the blame for something. “GH” spoilers reveal Jason is anxious. Lately, Sonny has been beating himself up about everything that is going on.

Not only is Michael married to a dangerous woman, but Carly (Laura Wright) was so determined to stop her son’s marriage that she got herself in even more trouble at Ferncliff. As a result, Sonny no longer has pull around the institution for the criminally insane and Carly may have to serve out the rest of her time without help from her loved ones.

While he has no control over his stubborn son and wife, Sonny believes he is responsible for not properly protecting his family. Will Jason be able to convince his friend that everything will turn out fine or will Sonny make things worse for the Corinthos family?

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
