A ‘Glee’ Actress Welcomes Her First Child! Jayma Mays Is A New Mom With Husband Adam Campbell
It’s baby season for the cast of Fox’s musical comedy “Glee.” After Heather Morris, who played Brittany Pierce on the Ryan Murphy show, gave birth to her second baby, Jayma Mays, who played Emma Pillsbury, has also become a mom.
The 37-year-old actress welcomed their first child, a son named Jude, with husband Adam Campbell in August, according to E! News. The couple broke news of the pregnancy in April.
Campbell is best known for playing Logan Beekman in the Emmy-nominated Netflix comedy series, “Unbreakable With Kimmy Schmidt.” He and Mays began a whirlwind romance on the sets of the movie “Epic Movie” which released in 2007. Ironically, they were playing siblings – brother and sister. They got to know each other during the filming process. Three months later the duo began dating.
On Oct. 28, 2007 Mays and Campbell got married.
Mays has had many roles apart from “Glee.” She starred in “The Smurfs” opposite Neil Patrick Harris and “Heroes” as Charlie Andrews. The Tennessee-born actress has also played the role of Debbie in the sitcom “The Millers.” She has also played guest roles in “Ugly Betty, “How I Met Your Mother,” “Joey,” “Entourage” and “Ghost Whisperer.”
The “Glee” actress is currently working in NBC comedy “Trial & Error” opposite John Lithgow, Sherri Shepherd and Steven Boyer. It is scheduled to release in 2017. According to Deadline, the new mom portrays the role of Carol Anne Keane, a district attorney who is prosecuting Lithgow’s character over the murder of his wife.
Last year, Naya Rivera, who played singer Santana Lopez in the Fox musical, gave birth to her first child, Josey Hollis Dorsey.
The beaming parents have yet to say anything about their newest family member on social media. Congratulations to the happy couple!
In other baby news, “Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot announced that she is expecting her second child.
