After seven months of engagement, “Gotham” stars Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin have finally tied the knot.

According to People, the two said “I do” to each other on Friday, the same day as Baccarin’s 38th birthday, at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens in Brooklyn, New York. The two enjoyed a small and intimate ceremony attended by family members and close friends.

McKenzie and Baccarin made their relationship official in September 2015 by getting cozy at the Emmys afterparty. They further solidified their relationship by welcoming their first child together, Frances Laiz Setta Schenkkan, last March. She is now 15 months old.

This will be McKenzie’s first marriage and Baccarin’s second. The actress was previously married to Austin Chick, but they parted ways in 2015. They have a 3-year-old son together named Julius Chick.

Baccarin is extremely grateful for McKenzie’s love and support, especially when she was pregnant with their daughter. “Ben’s the sweetest… It’s very nice to work with your significant other, especially when you’re pregnant because you know you’ll get some extra TLC and get taken care of,” she said at the time.

Meanwhile, McKenzie said that being a father is “something [he has] wanted for a long time. [He is] excited about all of it, poop, diapers and everything!”

Many fans assume that the two stars met and fell in love on the set of “Gotham,” but the truth is, they previously worked on another TV project together, reported Bustle. Back in 2006, McKenzie was starring in the teen drama “The O.C.” as the brooding Ryan Atwood. Baccarin guest starred in the series as socialite Maya Griffin. They did not have any scenes together, but Baccarin remembered how badly McKenzie treated her.

McKenzie told “The Late Late Show” host James Corden about the incident. “I apparently blew her off,” he said. “So I’m thinking, ‘What kind of idiot would blow off this gorgeous, beautiful, sophisticated, intelligent, successful woman?’ Then I thought of what kind of boy I was at 25, and [I was] that kind of idiot.”
