Lee “Q” O'Denat, the founder of controversial hip-hop website WorldStarHipHop, died in his sleep Monday, TMZ wrote in an exclusive report the following day. He was 43 years old.

Q might have died from a heart attack, an insider told TMZ. An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday to determine his cause of death.

Q created his website in 2005. It became famous after he started to post mixtapes, which ultimately evolved into compilations of hip-hop videos, fight footage and other shocking clips. For example, the “Sharkeisha” fight went viral after someone posted a video of a girl hitting and kicking a peer in 2013.

As XXL Magazine noted, Q was considered a provocative person since his website sometimes showed the worst parts of black culture. Overall, however, Q was respected as a pioneer for the video site. It was a place where artists could gauge how well their videos were being received with audience.

A slew of people took to social media to mourn Q’s death. One of those people was radio presenter Charlamagne Tha God, whose birth name is Lenard McKelvery.

“RIP to my guy Q@worldstar we got some years in. Great, Great, Great Dude!!!!!! One of those moments where you don't cry because it's over, you smile because it happened,” Charlamagne wrote to his 1.5 million followers Tuesday. “SMH. Brother was already up but he had some phenomenal things cooking.....” Within minutes, the post was liked hundreds of times.

Actress Uldouz Wallace also mourned Q on Instagram Tuesday. “I'm so heartbroken, tell me it's not true please, they're saying Q passed away in his sleep last night, thanks for always showing me so much love on my comedy content, all your support and for being a good friend,” she penned. “RIP Q I'm gonna miss you.”

By Tuesday, an official statement was not released by WorldStarHipHop or Q’s family.
