In response to the comment, Jamie Lynn said she had never taken any amount of money from the pop icon, arguing she would only spend money she earned herself.

Since then, Jamie Lynn has come under fire from Britney’s supporters, with some comparing her to a spider. The comments came after her mother, Lynne Spears, uploaded a picture of a large spider web outside her Louisiana home on Aug. 11, 2021. Many users quickly ridiculed the family, with one saying it looked like Jamie Lynn's lively home.

But recently, she made a public pledge that she would help Britney, which is the first time she expressed her support for her sister amid the legal battle, according to the Independent.
