'Jane The Virgin' Season 3 Spoilers: Check Out This Adorable Set Photo Of Jane, Rafael And Baby Mateo
Even though Jane Gloriana Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) has ended her relationship with her baby daddy Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni), there are quite a number of fans who are still holding out hope that the two will rekindle their relationship in the future.
During the season 2 finale of “Jane the Virgin,” Jane said “I do” to Michael Cordero (Brett Dier), but he was unfortunately shot. Whether or not Michael survives the shooting still remains unanswered.
All of the show’s cast members have refused to provide any spoilers about Michael’s fate, but one thing’s for certain - Jane will try to cope with this incident by spending time with her family. Rodriguez is shooting several scenes with Baldoni and Adam, who plays baby Mateo.
The actress is quite happy to spend time with her co-stars and shoot more scenes with them, as proven by the selfie she shared on her Instagram account (@hereisgina). In the photo, both Rodriguez and Baldoni are smiling at the camera, while Adam gives Baldoni a strange look. “How baby Mateo looks at Baby Daddy. __ #FamilyIsBack #janethevirgin,” she captioned the photo.
It is still too early to say whether Rodriguez’s photo means that Jane will get back together with Rafael. All fans can be certain of is the fact that her old crush Sam will be making an appearance next season.
According to TV Line, “Young and the Restless” star Miles Gaston Villanueva has just been cast as Sam, a man who has been in Jane’s life long before she met either Michael and Rafael. He is described as “intellectual and sexy,” which is just the kind of guy Jane likes.
But as far as Jamie Camil, the actor who plays Jane’s dad Rogelio Dela Vega, is concerned, he would like Michael to recover from the shooting incident.
“Because, you know, Rogelio was devastated when Michael got shot. I'm like, 'I cannot go on with life, so what's going to happen?’” he told Pop Sugar. “I just hope that Michael gets better… that this gunshot doesn't transform into a horrible ending, which I don't even want to think about. But let's see what happens!”
“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
