Jennifer Garner 'Frustrated' With Ben Affleck Meeting Shauna Sexton During Rehab Break

Ben Affleck was snapped outside his LA home Wednesday for the first time since he was taken to rehab by his estranged wife Jennifer Garner in late August. A blue Acura car belonging to Playboy model Shauna Sexton was parked in front of his property. This has reportedly “frustrated” Garner, ET reported citing a source.

The source said Garner knew Affleck met Sexton on Wednesday and is "frustrated" with the situation. "Jen knows he is back at the house with Shauna and she is so painfully frustrated. She knows he has to do this for himself,” the source said.

The insider also said the actor's friends have worries about his relationship with the model.

"He had stayed in touch with Shauna the entire time he was in rehab and the people at the facility and friends had huge concerns about it because she isn't sober. She is a huge, red flag to everyone that is trying to support Ben with his process. Shauna is giving him false confidence and that is their biggest concern,” the source continued.

The source also revealed that Affleck is continuing to work on himself during his stint in rehab. The actor was allowed to work out a few hours a day at his home while in treatment. However, he will always be accompanied by his sober coach and therapist.

"It has been an intensive challenge but he had no choice. For Ben this was a life-and-death situation. It was very dire and that is the main reason Jen had no choice but to get involved. He believes he is strong enough to venture outside the facility with sober coaches,” the source said.

The couple was first spotted post his split with SNL producer Lindsay Shookus last month. Sources revealed that he and Shookus still remain friends.

"They both tried to make it work, but the distance just proved to be too much for them right now. Family comes first for them both,” a source told E!News in August.

People too quoted an insider saying “It was amicable, but unfortunately it didn’t work out. They truly cared for each other and tried to make it work. Unfortunately now is not the time.”

Garner, on the other hand, drove Affleck to rehab last month after she went to check on the father of her three children and noticed he "was in terrible shape."

“Jen was incredibly concerned because Ben was making excuses for missed plans and rarely answering his phone in the week before he entered rehab. She knows this pattern very well and became worried. She went over to check on him fearful of what she might find, and sure enough found him with empty bottles strewn all over the house. He reeked of alcohol and clearly had been on some type of bender, and was in terrible shape,” a source said.

Affleck later returned to rehab in Malibu, California, post his meeting with Sexton on Wednesday.
