‘Jill And Jessa: Counting On’ Episode 1 Synopsis Released; When And Where To Watch Duggar Premiere

The Duggars are returning to TLC. Former “19 Kids and Counting” stars Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard will be headlining their own three-part special on TLC, “Jill & Jessa: Counting On.” The limited series kicks off this Sunday.

Ahead of Season 1, episode 1’s premiere, TLC has released the synopsis for the forthcoming installment. TV Guide’s summary of “A New Chapter” reveals viewers will follow Jessa, 23, and Jill, 24, as they “adjust to new surroundings, marriage and parenthood.” The premiere will focus on Jill’s forthcoming mission trip to Central America with her husband Derick and their then 6-month-old son Israel. Jessa and her husband Ben will be preparing for their arrival of their first child. (The couple welcomed son Spurgeon Elliot Nov. 5.)

TLC released a sneak peek of the special Wednesday, revealing there will be some special guests. Jill and Jessa’s sister-in-law Anna Duggar -- she married their eldest brother Josh -- will make a cameo. Anna, 27, whose husband admitted to cheating on her in August, will touch on Josh’s scandals in the new season.

"I was just like, 'I’m going to wake up and everything’s going to be OK,'" Anna says in the preview. "This can’t be true."

Jill and Jessa, who were revealed in June to be victims of Josh’s molestation when he was a teen, will also speak out about their brother.

"Everybody makes their own decisions and everybody makes their own choices but they’re not the only ones that suffer the consequences," Jill says. "Going forward we will come out of this fire, so to speak, stronger as a family unit."

Duggar fans can tune in to the first episode of “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on TLC. According to TLC’s schedule, the installment is 90-minutes long, so be sure to set your DVR’s accordingly. If you miss the first airing, there will be several repeats. The episode will also air Sunday at 11:04 p.m. EST and Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 7:30 p.m. EST.
