John Cena Excited Nikki Bella Can Finally Plan Wedding After ‘DWTS’ Elimination

After getting engaged in April, John Cena and Nikki Bella’s wedding planning seemed to take a back seat as the two stars focused on their careers. However, following Bella’s “Dancing With the Stars” Season 25 elimination, the couple has finally come to a point where they have some time to hash out their wedding details.

While attending the premiere of “Daddy’s Home 2” on Sunday, Cena admitted that he and his fiancée are in the beginning stages of making their big day become a reality. “Wedding planning is just starting,” the 40-year-old WWE star told Us Weekly.

“Dancing with the Stars literally took all of [Nikki’s] time,” he explained.

“So now we’re off and running on another race, and I’m going to enjoy this one.”

Although Cena plays a father in his latest movie, the star won’t have to worry about taking on the role of dad in his real life. Since he and Bella became engaged, the two have insisted that they are content with their lives and have no plans on having children.

“I can barely raise myself, so I just don’t know how good a dad I’ll be. I guess that’s my biggest fear,” Cena told Us Weekly in July.

The following month, Bella told E! News that she has come around to the idea of not have children following the birth of her niece Birdie Joe Danielson.

“How much I absolutely love Birdie and have unconditional love, seeing how much my sister [Brie Bella] has had to not only sacrifice her body but her life and career has really made me be like, ‘You know what? I'm really content being an aunt the rest of my life,’” she said.

In the past, Cena and Bella failed to see eye to eye on the topic of children as she initially wanted them while Cena had no desire to have kids.

“I used to not understand. You used to see this on ‘Total Divas’ and ‘Total Bellas,’ I didn’t understand where John was coming from when he would say he wouldn’t want to be a father,” she explained.

Now that Cena and Bella seem to have lighter schedules and are on the same page regarding their futures, it’s clear that wedding planning will be their biggest challenge going forward.
