Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez Aren’t Back Together, Sources Slam Relationship Rumors

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd may have split but that doesn’t mean she has already jumped back into a relationship with Justin Bieber.

Following reports that the two are officially back together after their 2014 break up, sources close to the stars insist that the two aren’t dating just yet. “Justin and Selena are seeing each other and will continue to be spending time together but haven’t described it as an official couple,” an insider told E! News.

“Right now, they are figuring out if it will work again between the two,” the insider added.

Although Gomez and Bieber have been spending time together, the two aren’t putting a label on their relationship. “Things have been moving really fast but they are not officially together as of now,” a second source explained.

Rather than committing to one another in a serious relationship, the stars are attempting to rebuild a foundation between them. “They are just working on their friendship at this point. Justin has always loved Selena and he always will,” an insider revealed.

Even though they are friendly at the moment, it doesn’t mean getting back together is completely off the table. “If she got fully back together with him, no one would be a surprised,” the source stated.

News that Bieber and Gomez are just friends comes after Us Weekly reported the two are “officially dating again.” Sources reportedly told the publication that the former couple decided to get back together.

“Selena and The Weeknd just fizzled and ended amicably — it wasn’t dramatic and it wasn’t about Justin. But Selena always had feelings for Justin. Her friends want her to be cautious because she has been in such a good place post-surgery,” a source said referring to the singer’s kidney transplant over the summer.

Bieber and Gomez began dating in 2011, and had an on and off relationship until 2014, when they finally called it quits. Nowadays, the “What Do You Mean” singer is hoping to be given another chance.

“He respects Selena and just wants her to be happy. He knows she is a fragile woman and he just wants to be there for her. He hopes that building their bond again may help them in the future,” a source told E! News.

While it may not happen overnight, it looks like Gomez and Bieber are content with their friendship, but may be open to something more in the future.
