Kaley Cuoco Promotes Dog Adoption With The Cutest Puppy [PHOTO]
Kaley Cuoco recently shared her story about dog adoption at the event organized by Much Love Animal Rescue.
On her Instagram account, the actress shared a photo of herself talking on stage while an adorable snap of her and her adopted dog, Ruby, was flashed on the projector. In her caption, Cuoco revealed that she shared a story on how her adoption of Ruby came about several months ago.
In the second photo, the “Big Bang Theory” actress posed with a miniature pup that had a red bandana wrapped around its neck. On the bandana are the words “Adopt Me.” Cuoco has been partnering with various non-profit organizations that aim to give pets their permanent homes.
Last month, “The Wedding Ringer” actress even went to Australia to participate in Paw Works’ “Adopt Don’t Shop” event. Cuoco promoted Colin Leslie eyewear on her Instagram account and revealed that all proceeds from the selling of the sunglasses will go directly to the homeless shelter pets of Paw Works.
As of late, Cuoco already has three adopted dogs at home. In August, the actress spoke with the Los Angeles Times to share how she became passionate with dog adoption. According to the actress, the misconceptions about pit bulls are what prompted her to familiarize herself with the breed.
“I was like, ‘Oh, my God. I’m obsessed with this kind of dog.’ I just found them to be so incredible. I realized what great dogs they were and how horribly they were seen. And I just didn’t want that to happen anymore. So it became a passion,” she said.
After getting to know the breed, Cuoco adopted Norman, who was just roughly around 2 years old at that time. “I knew right away. I wanted this dog to be in my life,” she said.
Cuoco and Norman have a very close relationship. In fact, the actress’ Instagram handle is inspired by her dog’s name. After Norman, Cuoco adopted another pit bull mix named Shirley. Ruby, a pocket-sized shaggy terrier mix was the next dog she adopted. Talking about dog adoption and her three dogs, Cuoco said, “I live by this saying. I don’t know who quoted it, but it’s like: ‘Who rescued who?’”
